Windsor: Leona Shepherd, 3M strategist, is a launch event panellist

A member of 3M’s senior leadership team in the UK and Ireland, Leona Shepherd directs the company’s commercial excellence programmes including sales and marketing effectiveness, go-to-market strategy including e-commerce and has oversight of 3M’s customer service and contact centres.

Shepherd has overall responsibility for 3M’s brand and marketing communications activities in the UK and Ireland, as well as its customer insight programme. Her wide-ranging responsibilities also include leadership of the customer-facing, shared business services.

Having started her career at Akzo Nobel, in production management followed by operations and marketing management, Shepherd joined 3M in 2000 as strategic marketing leader. She progressed to become a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt before taking on a number of increasingly senior sales and marketing roles in EMEA. Prior to her current role she led 3M’s personal safety business as general manager.

Shepherd holds a BSc Hons in chemical engineering from Edinburgh University and is a chartered marketer with the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She sits on the Henley Business School strategy board and is a trustee of the charity, United Way UK. 

She will join our panel for the Women in Business launch event at The Oakley Court Hotel, Windsor, on March 31.
